20170626 - Corsica - Day 2

To the beach! And what a beach. The water is warm. The sand is soft. Small fish swim close to the shore.

Today, Ines, Fredrik and I went for a walk after dinner a the hotel, while Eva and Sara relaxed at the hotel. We headed to the origin of the name of the city : The Red Island.

Time for a late lunch. However, we learned that all the restaurants close during mid day, and does not open until the evening.

We ended up buying cheese, bread and butter at the local grocery store and had lunch by the hotel pool.

These towers are everywhere around the island. They tell their part of a long and dramatic history of Corsica.

The view from the little read mountain down to the city is pretty nice.
